Jordan Kearns Rips up Sonoma Sidewalk—Michael Jackson Would Have Been Proud

Jordan Kearns, 11, rips up the Sonoma sidewalk, to the delight of passersby.

Shoppers and people eating in sidewalk cafes by Sonoma's Plaza were delighted Tuesday to see two young men show up with a boom box and a handmade cardboard sign that read, "Please Donat!" (sic).

What happened next would have warmed the hearts of Michael Jackson and Fred Astaire. Jordan Kearns, who told Patch that he loves to dance, and his friend Derek Strand, who said his cheerleader sister taught him some moves, took the spotlight and entertained passersby.

Jordan said he has watched a lot of Michael Jackson on You Tube videos and dancing is "one of the most favorite things I've ever done in my life."

A few dollars bills landed in a jar while the boys danced. Jordan said he and Derek aren't saving for anything in particular. Jordan is 11 and Derek is 13. They both go to Adele Harrison Middle School in Sonoma.

When he heard that this video clip would go on Patch, Jordan said "I've been waiting for something like this."

A big break?

"Something like that," he said.

As you watch this video, you'll see that each time you think he has exhausted his repertoire, he switches gears into some new moves.

Rip it up Jordan. We'll be watching.

TELL US: What do you think of the dancing? You can let the boys know in the comments section below.
